Comments:	Just stopping by to say Lili is still VERY adorable. And to let you know my baby was born August 18th. A girl, we named her Annie Lynn. She lived for 20 minutes ... I am so proud of her. Thanks for sharing Lilis story with everyone, she (and you) are really an inspiration to everyone. Annies (Baby Nichols) site has been shut down, well, its up ... but no more updates, I've been locked out. I still check the message board and put an update there. The person I share the server with changed the password right before Annie was born so that's when updates stopped. Anyway, Just wanted to let you know those things. Comments:	my sister in law is 31 1/2 weeks pregnant with her son. She found out @ 20 weeks that he has multicystic kidney, and one missing. She now has no fluid left but he is very active. She is going to have a steroid shot in two weeks. not sure it will help the lungs, but worth a shot. we believe in a miricle working God. If he can do it for Lili, he can do it for Rhett. Comments:	I am a volunteer for The Gift of Life of Michigan organization, who maintains the registry for organ, tissue, bone marrow, cornea transplants. My grandson from Bath, Michigan wqas also born under similar conditions twenty years ago. He had on kidney that functioned at 80%, two years ago he had a kidney trtansplant. His father was going to be the donor, however just a week before the scheduled surgey, a better match was found from a deceased donor in Illinois.Since that time my wife and I have been avid supporters of the donor registry. Coincidence that this article should appear in todays paper? I think not, because just last night I was pondering in my mind an E-mail I was going to send John Scneider to inform people that have signed the back of their licenses that the best way to insure their intentions are followed is to register with the Gift of Life, and to tell their families of their wishes. Because upone every death in a Michigan hospital a call is placed to Gift of Life to see

Comments:	I just wanted to say thanks for this great site, Lili reminds me so much of my son Joshua (also has CRF), you went through a very similar situation as we did before Joshua was born. I love reading what is next for Lili, Joshua is not on dialysis/transplanted yet he is 26 months old and doing very well with his 22% kidney function but like Lili will need a kidney transplant in the future and I hope to be the donor also, so reading what you are going through will give me an indication of what it is going to be like in the future....so thanks again. Comments:	Hi Julie, I donated my left kidney to my daughter on December 16, 2003. I choose the open method, as my kidney was very large. The kidney started working right away and she is feeling so much better now! Praise the Lord! She is 24 years old and has IgA Nephropathy. I still have a little swelling and feel a little numb on my left side. I went back to work on January 12th. I don't feel any different with just one kidney. The transplant team said many donors are in better health after a kidney donation because they take a conscious effort to keep themselves in better shape. I would do it all over again as it was a wonderful feeling to give the gift of life to my daughter. PS. She says she now has two birthdays!

Comments:	I have heard of your daughter, Lili, from my daughter, Michelle Bobiney. She is Rachel Bobiney's mother and met you at Mott. Rachel had her kidney transplant on August 18, 2003, with Michelle as the donor. The transplant went perfectly, although they are currently at Mott with some post surgical problems. If you get a chance, please say hi to Michelle, as she has wondered how things are with you and your family. I know from reading your story in the Saginaw News that your daughter will do beautifully as has a long, bright future ahead of her. She is busy with two children (Brenden 3 and Nicklas 14 1/2 months and teaching first grade in Battle Creek. Nicklas has lots of health issues and is presently being fed by a tube that splits into his small intestine for food and a tube into his stomach for his meds. He is on the pump 20 of the 24 hours of the day. Too much to go into now, but we sympathize with all you have gone through and are going through. The Lord is good and prayer is such a good thing. Comments:	Hello, I am a friend of your mom's and my husband and your dad worked together at one time. Our son is a kidney transplant recipient. He receieved his kidney at the age of 21, he is soon to be 36 years old. He lost his kidneys due to a heriditary disease known as Alport syndrome. He was on peritoneal dialysis for two years, while a student at MSU. He received his kidney on Valentine Day, what a wonderful gift to him and to our family. He is doing well and working on his Phd. at the University of New Hampshire. Your mom and dad were willing to share your story and Lili's web page with us. Comments:	I just wanted to say that your little Lili is a real cutie. You are so lucky!! My youngest son Wesley was born with no kidneys at all and died shortly after his birth, which by your story, the doctors thought your little Lili would do but she surprised them. I am so happy for you. What a fighter you have. I am holding you and Lili in my prayers. She will get that kidney transplant and live a very long life, I know she will. This is also the perfect time to let people know just how important it is to donate organs. I have made it perfectly clear to my family that if anything ever happens to me, I want to be a donor. My oldest son has too, as one of his friends in High School had a heart transplant in their Sr. Year.She is doing great now. Take care and give that beautiful little girl a big kiss from Texas!
